Vale Eric Billingham 13 February 1933 – 4 January 2026

The funeral service was held at Springvale Cemetery on 11 January 2026.

Eric’s very full life and long marriage to Ruth featured in daughter Karen’s loving eulogy with younger family members placing special objects on the table, at relevant intervals.

Eric was a committed chorister for some years, his energies continuing after retirement as he and Ruth were very active members of the Support Group. His love of the choir and its music found its way into the service. After the two scripture readings, the choir’s rendition of Morte Criste was played. At the conclusion of the eulogy, bass Barry McMahon’s performance of How Great Thou Art resonated throughout the chapel with choir and congregational members respectfully singing along. Finally, Let Him Live from the choir’s Les Misérables medley accompanied the photo montage.
