Plygain Service at the Welsh Church – 11 January 2026

A number of choirs, as well as mixed groups of singers, took part in the Plygain service.

Under the direction of Rushan, the VicWelsh choir was Rhys Parry (Bendigo), Lynton Wade (Ballarat), Alan Thompson (Blackburn), George Dingli (Bla), John Reid (Ben), Barry Leviny (Ben), John Evans (Bla). Paul Stephens (Bal) had to withdraw at the last moment due to a family emergency. In the first round they sang Difyrrwch Gwyr Caernarfon (The Delight of the Men of Caernarfon) and, in the second, Trwsgwl Mawr (Great Stone Mound).
