Ballarat Choral Festival 26 July 2026

Twelve choirs from Victoria took part in the 28^th annual choral festival at St Patrick’s Cathedral Ballarat.

Each choir sang two pieces. Notable performances were by Euphony Choir, directed by Rushan Hewawasam and accompanied by Mary O’Driscoll; Ballarat U3A Choristers directed by Mary; St Patrick’s Cathedral Choral Scholars directed by Vincent Sully; and Victoria Welsh Choir directed by Rushan and accompanied by Mary.

The multi-talented Rushan also mustered all the choirs (about 150 of them) for the final massed performance, conducting them in the song Music Is and accompanied by the equally talented Mary.
