RSL Victoria State Annual Remembrance Service

The service was compèred by Mr Des Callaghan OAM with prayers and benediction by Chaplain John Raike. There were contributions from St Margaret’s Grammar School and from Haileybury College. Victoria Welsh Choir led the singing with music provided by the Australian Youth Band. The official address was given by academic and author Dr Lisa Cooper.

When we reflectively observed the two-minute silence, however, the unmistakable warble of a magpie sadly reminded us about all the Australians who would never hear that song again.
