On 14th March 2015 Vic Welsh’s Côr Bach (Small Choir) sang at the wedding of a Welshman to an Australian in the garden of a private home in Anglesea.

Before the ceremony began we sang Men of Harlech, Si Hei Lwli Mabi, World in Union, and our bilingual version of Waltzing Matilda, before announcing the arrival of the bride with Myfanwy.

During the ceremony we greeted the celebrant’s declaration that the couple were now man and wife with the jubilant Haleliwia from Rachie – a magic moment. Then during the signing of the register we sang a medley of songs from the sixties – House of the Rising Sun, He Ain’t Heavy, How Do You Do It? and Da Do Ron Ron, finally joining in the choruses as soloist Matt Green, with Nick McGrath on guitar, sang Happy Together.

Afterwards as the reception began we kept guests entertained with Calon Lân, Amazing Grace, Little Deuce Coupe, You’ll Never Walk Alone, We’ll Keep a Welcome, and, by request, a reprise of Men of Harlech.

The bride and groom said they were thrilled by the quality of our singing and the contribution it made to their special day, as were the bride’s parents.
